Engineering Direct are looking for an Mechanical Engineer for the Cross Rail project. This is a perm vacancy for a well know M&E international contractor that's been established for over 70 years.

Description of job
purpose:
The role requires an engineering professional with experience in the rail
industry.Our clint are currently in receipt of the CRL Canary Wharf MEP
Scope. Canary Wharf Crossrail station is a new standalone structure that is
built in the North Dock. It is unique as it is the only station of the Crossrail
(CRL) project that is built in water. The dock water is 10m deep. The building
has seven floors and includes an Over Site Development (OSD) including a
roof top public park. The OSD houses retail, cinema, cafes, bars and
restaurants. Both the OSD and park were opened to the public on the 1st
May 2015 and are owned and managed by Canary Wharf Group. The
Crossrail project includes the underground station only and excludes the
OSD. The Canary Wharf station will undergo modification to the currently
installed works and MEP system to make it compatible with Crossrail system
wide interfaces. The project also includes new architectural and civil works
throughout the station. This particular scope of work is for the mechanical,
electrical, plumbing and communication systems. The scope of work does not
include civil works, architectural and structural works but may include
miscellaneous works of this discipline in the future for which the contractor
shall appoint a subcontractor specialized in those works. These works will be
by issue of Employer Project Managers Instructions (PMI).
