Payroll Assistant - Part or Full-time
My client operates a payroll bureau and is looking to recruit additional support to their successful team.
Based in Gateshead and offering complete flexibility to work either part or full-time hours, this is a great opportunity for those who enjoy a varied payroll position and working in a fast paced environment.
Working alongside your payroll colleagues you will support the team in the full payroll function from collection of payroll data from your clients, processing payrolls (weekly & monthly), making the necessary deductions and processing the payments.
You will also be involved in pension payments with auto enrolment, monthly RTI reporting and generally working in a 360 payroll position.
The role can be demanding at certain times of the payroll calendar and does require someone who is methodical, organised and can work to tight deadlines without feeling the pressure.
With plenty of client contact, good presentation and communication skills are a must as is previous and recent experience working in payroll, preferably with Sage but not essential.
