Fixed Wire Tester, Birmingham, Mobile Role

My client, a market leading Facilities Management provider is looking for a ‘bright spark’ to carry out vital electrical testing throughout a number of public service facilities in the West Midlands…..

The Company

This a fantastic opportunity working for a leading, global provider of multi-technical services who employ over 3500 employees within the UK and over 30,000 worldwide. They provide a range of services including energy, installation, commissioning, long-term maintenance and facilities management to both the Public and Private sector. A FTSE 100 company, they are environmentally focused who promote a sustainable, green working environment.

The Role

As a mobile, Fixed Wire Tester no 2 days will be the same. You will be travelling the length and breadth of Birmingham City, taking in the iconic sights along the way that this great city has to offer,- such as The Bullring, Birmingham Cathedral and The Soho House Museum. Working as a team of two and paired up with a mate, you will be responsible for the fixed-wire testing of a number of buildings and sites across the area including schools, offices, libraries, children’s houses and West Midlands Police sites.

The Ideal Candidate

I am looking for a Fixed Wire Tester who can work on their own initiative who thrives to an elevated level of responsibility. This is predominantly a commercially biased environment so if you have the experience and background in this sector I am keen to speak to you. Ideally, I would like you to have the City & Guilds 2394/2395 Testing and Inspection certificate but I would still love to speak to you if you hold the City & Guilds 2391 ticket also. As usual with most Fixed Wire Tester roles you will be required to hold the current City & Guilds 2382 17th Edition Wiring Regulations. Although I am not looking for the next Bill Gates, a level of Microsoft Excel knowledge will be beneficial due to the reports you will be expected to complete.

The Salary and Package

A very competitive salary of £26,000 to £28,000 will be paid depending on your level of experience and with this being a mobile role a company van and fuel card will be provided. This will also be available for you to use privately. 20 days annual holiday entitlement, standard company pension and uniform provided.

If you’re excited about this opportunity I would love to hear from you. My client is looking to interview for this immediate start role so please don’t delay and submit your CV to alternatively please call me on (Apply online only)
