Messaging Systems Engineer - £30,000 - £35,000

Due to huge year on year success my client a rapidly growing global market leading company based in Staffordshire now require an additional Application Delivery Engineer. They are the driving force in the development of enterprise and internet technology. The Role

Being part of the Messaging Systems Team you will be responsible for delivery, administration, maintenance and continual service improvement of internal line of business services and applications to the enterprise.

You will also be providing engineering services for a wide range of highly available technologies, with a core focus on delivery of virtualised applications and desktop across multiple sites within the UK and abroad, with some access to remote business consumers.

This family run business is and will always remain a technology organisation and in this particular role you will be able to design, troubleshoot, maintain and service improvements across the Messaging Systems Team managed service.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of messaging platforms such as Cisco, ESA, BES12 and Skype for Business will have a distinct advantage
- Able to demonstrate knowledge of Powershell scripting and a good understanding of ITIL principles and a degree/other qualifications in a relevant subject
- Be able to troubleshoot and resolve service affecting incidents and problems within the remit of the post
- Have the ability to respond to technical issues escalated to the Team and restoration of services within the expected timescales
- The knowledge to analyse service and then recommend and service improvements
- Be able to communicate effectively with senior managers and stakeholders when handling escalated incidents.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the 2nd Line Support Team.
- Have the ability to work effectively on highly available large scale enterprise platforms.
- Good understanding of Windows Server and Exchange 2010/2016
- An understanding of LAN’s and Firewalls
- Can do attitude and the willingness to learn new skills
- Work within a part of a team, but also be able to work independently to meet tight deadlines.
