Working in a busy Claims Department you will be handling a caseload of TP Damage and Personal injury claims up to a value of £50000 to conclusion.

Daily duties will involve:

Provide excellent claims handling service with minimal leakage, in accordance with company procedures and service standards.
Ensure that claim reserves, payments and Large Movement Reports are calculated correctly and in accordance with company procedures and service standards.
Continuously drive improvement in the service delivery to clients
Investigate and resolve claims in a professional and pro-active manner.
Ensure customer claims are settled in the quickest possible timescales, while ensuring all legal and market obligations are fully adhered to.
Manage and exceed customer expectations and prioritise workloads to resolve any disputes that may arise in the settlement of a claim.
Continually adhere to client specific protocols and best practice
Work closely with colleagues within the company to deliver consistently high levels of service
Support and adhere to the company’s values and policies in a professional manner
Create accurate Claims Management System records
Identify own training needs and to request appropriate training to meet own performance targets
Ensure quality, service standards and productivity levels are maintained to a high standard
Be supportive and implement change within the claims handling teams
Develop client contacts and an understanding of the client culture
Where appropriate, attend in house and client review meetings
Assist with both internal & external auditing
Undertake projects and to be able to deliver within agreed timescales
Actively create a supportive and respectful working environment

Deliver technically accurate and appropriate advice to clients, colleagues and others
Advise clients accurately and produces high quality work in a timely fashion
Adhere to guidelines and procedures
Produce work showing an understanding of relevant facts, case law and research
Demonstrate competence in own area of expertise
Apply knowledge, skills or experience to solve problems
Ability to proactively investigate and assess liability with reference to evidence and relevant case law.
The successful candidate will have:
A working understanding of the MOJ claims handling process
Knowledge of the CPR and litigation procedures.
Awareness of motor Fraud indicators
Awareness of risk factors for large loss/ catastrophic claims.
Confidence in the evaluation and negotiation of Special Damages, to include Loss of Earnings, treatment and care claims within handling authority.
Understanding of RTA
Knowledge of differences in claims process between jurisdictions.
A working understanding of the CRU Benefits system including the appeal process.
Working knowledge of claims validation and recoveries procedure.
