Media Sales Exec

My client is a fantastic digital editorial platform aimed at AB UK and German-speaking readers, reaching in excess of 350,000 ABC1 parents every month. We need a self-starting Media Sales Executive/Account Manager with an understanding of digital media and the travel industry.

Responsibilities and skills:

  • Have an understanding of digital technology and revenue ecosystem and be able to explain product benefits within this context. Display, content, social media, affiliates, data capture and analytics
  • Sell multiple products to clients by finding the right stakeholders for each product, without digressing from a coherent product message and overall strategy
  • You will effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations, being proactive, managing the process from end to end
  • You will build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • You will partner with clients to understand their business needs and objectives
  • You will understand category-specific landscapes and trends, reporting on the strategic direction of accounts

Required knowledge and experience:

  • Email marketing - CTR / open rates etc. Display e.g. Banner/ MPU's, Content/advertorial marketing, Digital data capture (e.g. Competitions) Social media, Analytics. CTR, CPA, Affiliates, (Print advertising experience optional)
  • At least 24 months experience in media sales
  • Knowledge/experience of account handling, building and maintaining relationships with clients
  • Comfortable speaking to marketing manager's/ director level essential.
  • Ability to cold call on the phone and at travel industry events face-to-face
  • Agency and travel trade contacts contacts would be an advantage but not at all essential: contacts in an industry related to our audience e.g. female fashion/baby/home retailers also could be an advantage

Remuneration: £27-30K for the right candidate OTE £50K in year one (uncapped commission)
