A leading housing association is looking for a Welfare Reform Officer to investigate and implement initiatives to minimise the impacts of welfare reform and introduction of Universal Credit.

Identify, contact and advise tenants at risk of the accurate factual changes to their household income and support them to understand their options.

Work with external partners and agencies to develop options for residents to mitigate the impact of welfare reforms, ensuring they are able to make appropriate decisions based on their individual circumstances.

Keep up to date with changes in legislation and regulation that affect the payment of welfare benefits.

Engage existing and new residents providing information on welfare reform changes and ensuring a proactive approach to ensure residents who are affected by the changes are fully informed.

Initially you will start as a tempo with the view of going on to a Fix Term Contract.
