Underwriting Assistant - Graduate
A high profile Reinsurance Underwriters seeks a person to support its Treaty team in an Underwriting Assistant position. Candidates will have strong numerical ability, excellent communication and IT skills, a keeness to work with the Insurance Market. Insurance industry knowledge would be an advantage.
The role combines UW Assistant duties, along with support in Marketing and statistical analysis.
Main purpose of job:
Working as an integral part of the Treaty Team to provide administrative, underwriting and marketing assistance to the team.
Key Responsibilities: Underwriting assistant
Manage the underwriting files, including archiving using Company systems; Check, scanning and file signed contracts using Company systems; Assist with operational planning; Obtain statistics , repare for client visits on the underwriting side; Assist with regulatory reports and ad-hoc reports, as and when required;
Assist the underwriters with the underwriting and pricing of Treaty business. This will involve checking underwriting submissions, formatting and loading underwriting data onto rating models;
Assist with the analysis and research of the portfolio.
Marketing assistant -Set up and organise meetings and events with clients; Order and distribution of publications, campaigns, gifts, calendars; Conduct research to support marketing; Manage the marketing database including updating client details, inputting visit information and running management reports.
Team assistant General administration such as: organising travel arrangements; expense reports; handling incoming calls; diary management; invoicing; ordering; filing; catering etc.
