Berkeley Scott are very excited to be working with one of the Midlands most exclusive and high end operations who are looking for a talented and experienced Head Chef.

This business is located near Birmingham City Centre- This role would ideally suit someone who has reached the point in their career where quality of life is important. Balancing, working hours alongside, development, staff management, progression and of course cooking/developing amazing food! Working for a quality nationwide company this position would give the successful candidate the opportunity to grow in to the role developing their own team as well as themselves within a high end operation.

My Clients would like to recruit an existing Head Chef who is currently doing rosette standard food, has strong chef & kitchen management skills, can develop a team of chefs & show they can produce fantastic food under pressure. - In any type of establishment, be it hotel, larger restaurant or very high end contract catering business.

On a day to day basis you will be tasked with delivering food to a very high standard, working to the very highest health and safety guidelines and working towards company KPI's with the key aim of building new business.

You will be in charge of a small brigade of Chefs and will be able to recruit your own team as soon as you arrive as this venue will be re-opening in January. You will be serving rosette standard food and will have menu autonomy so a really creative person and personality will be required here. We are not looking for someone who can re creative menus or dishes, we are looking for someone who designs and innovates! Running alongside this creativity we also need someone who has a level headed business mind in order to manage the food operation as if it were their business.

You must have
*Previous experience in a similar role
*Enthusiastic and driven to succeed
*Strong stock ordering experience
*Excellent level of culinary knowledge & skills
*Be able to win hearts and minds
*Patient attitude
*Generally flexible approach to work
*Excellent knowledge of GP's, KPI's and their impact
*High level of computer literacy
*Excellent team building skills

It would be nice to have:
*Good knowledge of allergens and special nutritional needs
*Can drive and own your own car
*Strong experience of dealing with feedback effectively

The salary here is in the region of £35,000, with a 40-50 hour working week over 5 days, working mainly daytime hours an additional bonus scheme is also included in the package.
