Graduate Sales Executive, Healthcare, London
This is an exciting opportunity for a first or second jobber with sales skills and, possibly, some experience. If that’s you, you’ll join a young, vibrant, fast-growing company with a truly unique product (yes, with a patent!) that’s already popular with both healthcare providers and commercial businesses. Only a few years old, our client has already made quite a name for itself with several industry awards to prove their innovation and credibility. Well-established in the healthcare sector, they’re looking to grow further in that world and, at the same time, become a bigger player in other market sectors. They’re secure, profitable and run by smart business people including the founder of the company and the inventor of their product. This could be a great time to join them as they grow the sales team to maximise the opportunities they see to sell their product across the world.
Simple in theory but harder in practice, your role will be to generate new revenue from new clients. That means: research prospective clients in advance, call them to introduce yourself and find out more about their needs and, if relevant, tell them more about the product you offer. You’ll receive training on how best to do this though any relevant previous experience would be a great help.
You will be responsible for your own work, your own clients and for hitting your own targets. A small, fast-growing company like this is no place for micro-management so you’ll need to be comfortable working autonomously. Bear in mind, though, that you will also have the support of the rest of the team day-to-day.
When you speak to companies that are interested, you’ll arrange meetings for one of your field salespeople to show them the product in action though, as you learn, you may be able to attend your own meetings. The prospective client remains your responsibility so you’ll need to be organised enough to track all activity to ensure that people are taken through the purchasing process clearly and consistently.
Preferably, you’ve already done a telemarketing or telesales job through great people with the attributes listed below will still be considered even without relevant experience.

- Resourceful in finding, building, and nurturing relationships with decision makers and leaders;
- Independence in problem solving and time management;
- Technically savvy;
- A hunger to learn;
- Good IT and numeracy skills
- Drive, motivation, enthusiasm and curiosity
- A creative approach with the ability to use your initiative
- Attention to detail
You will be paid a salary of £20,000pa plus commission. In your first year, whilst learning, you can expect to add another £5,000 to that total to give you total first year earnings of £25,000. Outstanding performers could, of course, earn more. Top earners in field sales roles at this company have earned more than £70,000pa so the money is there if you can produce results.
