Digital Media and Content Officer

Job Purpose:

  • Create, source, edit and maintain the company's websites in Mandarin Chinese and English

Main responsibilities:

  • Create timely and effective web page design briefs and content within the constraints of cost and time and to the needs of the business
  • Create, source, and commission various innovative digital content such as articles, social media posts, images, and videos; that meets company branding and is optimized for search engines
  • Ensure content for Ukuni websites, social media and email marketing improves online presence, brand awareness, engagement and conversion
  • Regularly review and proofread website content to ensure its up-to-date, accurate and optimised for search engines
  • Coordinate with university and college staff and students in the creation, collaboration, and promotion of content


  • Proven experience in SEM (AdWords), Emailing, Display, Affiliation, Partnership, Social Media, SEO, Web analytics (Google Analytics preferably)
  • Experience in strategic planning, channel choice, tone of voice, measurement and creation of content.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of HTML
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills to interpret data sources is essential
  • Independent, proactive, driven, self-motivated and flexible attitude while using lots of initiatives
  • Excellent organisation, project management, communication and interpersonal skills (strong time management skills to work with the small but dynamic team)

Additional responsibilities for a more senior position with UI and UX experience:

  • Lead UX strategy by carrying out A/B testing and reacting to customer feedback
  • Create, improve and use wireframes, prototypes, style guides, user flows, and effectively communicate to the rest of the team
  • Help design user experience and present design decisions
  • Develop intuitive, usable, and engaging interactions and visual screen designs for iOS, Android, Windows and mobile web


  • Native Mandarin Chinese Speaker
  • Good level of English language

Education, Qualification & Experience:

  • Minimum of an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject area
  • Relevant experience and portfolio
  • Preferably skilled in UI, UX and Graphic Design
  • Interested and knowledge of promoting British and American Education

Salary & Benefits Package:

  • Basic pay from £20,000 to £24,500 dependent on experience
