IT Support - Desktop, Cloud & Infrastructure - Culture/Art

Our highly prestigious and 'trendy' East London/Shoreditch client is looking for an infrastructure IT support engineer.

Your role will involve supporting and looking after our clients' 80circa internal users and 50 worldwide users. You will have the opportunity for some global travel across Europe and the USA in this role.

Along with everyday support you will also get the opportunity to design and implement new technologies. You will be reporting to the IT Manager and working with the Product Manager so you will be part of a fun small team.
Responsibilities Include:

  • Design, implement and improve our internal infrastructure, implement new infrastructure projects and research new technologies to deploy within both environments.
  • Manage our internal OSX and Windows systems including Virtual Machines, physical servers and client devices across 3 sites in London, Berlin & New York.
  • Manage the successful design, implementation and delivery of IT infrastructure for 3 largescale events per year in London & New York.
  • Work with our IT Support assistant to provide excellent day-to-day support for our desktop clients and remote offices.
  • Manage cloud software platforms including GSuite, Office 365, Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Monitor and maintain backup solutions.
  • Work with the Head of IT to constantly monitor and improve delivery of IT systems and support.
  • Work with and negotiate deals with 3rd party providers (ISPs, Telephone Hardware vendors, onsite IT contractors).
  • Work with product development team as the point of contact for CRM system administration: managing users, permissions, as well as assisting with reporting and aiding the development team in the continuous growth and optimisation of the system.
  • Assist with additional technical projects the company undertakes as and when required.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Five+ years experience within IT.
  • A strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN with the ability to configure routers, firewalls and switches.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of CRM system administration, ideally utilising SugarCRM.
  • Experience with end user customer support, possess strong technical knowledge of Mac OSX, Windows 10 and other Microsoft products.
  • Managing file server access permissions.
  • Configuring client VPNs.
  • Experience with Cloud Storage such as Google Drive/Dropbox.
  • Knowledge of Avaya phone systems management.
  • Experience of mobile device management.

The following would be beneficial:

  • Project planning and implementation experience.
  • Exposure to virtualisation technologies.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics.
  • Experience of cloud hosting platforms such as Digital Ocean & AWS.
  • Knowledge of video conferencing/collaboration technologies.
