An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Services Team Lead, to be based from our Swansea site. Working alongside other Finance Services Team Leads to provide effective operational management, delivery of a high quality service and to ensure that the team meets the agreed service performance levels.

The role holder will support the effective dual running of two systems (SAP and Agresso Business World).

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:

Essential:

  • Extensive knowledge of Finance Services (P2P including Accounts Payable and Purchasing or Banking & Receipts) systems, processes and practices

  • Good knowledge of a customer-focused service operation

  • Desirable:

  • Understanding of how the Finance Services processes fit into the overall structure of a Shared Services platform.

  • Operational knowledge of Shared Service Centres

    Responsibilities:

    Functional Management

  • Provide professional direction, leadership and day to day management to the Finance Services Team;

  • Responsible for the Finance Services End to End process relevant to the Finance Services area assigned (P2P including Accounts Payable and Purchasing or Banking & Receipts);

  • Compile and submit monthly reports e.g. KPI reporting, Monthly Construction Industry Scheme returns and monthly prompt payment reports;

  • Undertake payment control checks, process control checks and monitor customer compliance to agreed processes.

    Service Management

  • Monitor and manage resources in Finance Services to optimise staff utilisation and in response to team objectives/workload to ensure Critical and Key Service Levels and other delivery targets are consistently achieved and outcomes in business plans delivered;

  • Manage query resolution and escalation processes (2nd and 3rd level support), providing advice and interpretation where needed;

  • Builds and maintain good relationships with customers and stakeholders and work on joint activities as required.

    Team Management

  • Manage and monitor the quality of work performed by the staff reporting in to them, providing feedback within 1-1 meetings, annual appraisals and on an ad hoc basis;

  • Promote a customer focused and team based culture which identifies, communicates and addresses customer needs;
