We are pleased to be working with a client based in the heart of Stoke on Trent who are looking to recruit a Web Developer.

This is a full time permanent position offering a salary of up to £35,000 for the right candidate, working with .NET technologies.

The successful person will develop and maintain the various web sites for the client and take an active involvement in the e-Commerce proposition development.

Furthermore, you will be required to identify areas of potential efficiency and revenue gains within these websites.

Essential to this position is a strong working knowledge of .NET, C# and SQL (as a core skill set) and any exposure to an agile environment would be beneficial, although not essential.

The scope of this role will include building new and developing existing websites for the client and the current portfolio of insurance brands (around 25 sites). The sites are customer facing (customers are able to obtain quotes and buy products from the sites), so exposure to working with these types of sites would be ideal.

Candidate Experience:
A relevant IT related degree with proven industry experience.

Competency in the following programming languages:
.Net 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 (C#, Vb.Net, MVC/WebForms), JavaScript (native and libraries/frameworks like jQuery), XML/XSLT/XPATH, (x)HTML, CSS, AJAX.
Competency in SQL/T-SQL with SQL Server 2005 or above
Good working knowledge of Visual Studio 2010/2012 or above
Responsive web design with experience utilising a ‘mobile first’ approach allowing cross-browser/platform compatibility
Creation and use of web services (SOAP and RESTful architectures, .Net WCF, WebAPI)
Configuration and security of Windows based IIS7 web servers
Knowledge of the CDL Classic and Strata applications and its connectivity to web servers (XML)
Experience with industry-leading graphics packages, including Photoshop
Working knowledge of Google Analytics
