Humanities Teacher (History & Geography)
Central London
£21,000 to £30,000 p/a
Full-time, permanent

We are working with an educational charity in the Central London area who are looking for a permanent, full-time Humanities Teacher to join their team and teach on History and Geography to disadvantaged individuals.

The role consists of 37 hours per week (8am until 4:30pm from Monday to Friday), with less than 24 hours of teaching per week. They have a focus on Alternative Provision teaching for disadvantaged individuals, and you would be charged with teaching History and Geography to them, ranging from entry level courses through to GCSE. However, most of the teaching will be done on the lower level courses (entry level 1-3, and level 1), so they would be able to take on a more generalist teacher for this role. The age of the learners will range from 14 to 19, but most of them will be in the 14 to 16 age bracket. There would be a teaching assistant present at all times in the classroom as well, and they also have a dedicated behavioural management team.

The starting salary for this position is between £21,000 and £30,000 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience), and the package also includes a teacher's pension, and a very generous non-term time holiday allowance in line with other schools. They would also offer two sessions of CPD per week, so it would be an excellent role if you are looking to develop your skills.

To be eligible for the position, you MUST have:
-a teaching qualification
-experience of teaching disadvantaged individuals

I am looking to set up interviews as soon as possible, so if you are interested and available for interview, please reply with your CV and daytime contact number and I'll get back to you, or you can always call me on (Apply online only).

Please feel free to pass on my details if you know someone who might be interested.
