Salary up to £36,000, dependent on experience, + bonus & benefits

As Demand Planner reporting to the Supply Demand Manager, you'll be responsible for all forecast activities within the Supply Chain relating to product and customers, being recognised as a forecasting expert within the business. It's a mission-critical role, ensuring demand signals drive inventory to meet customer service levels within budget.

You'll be part of a team with forecast responsibility for c.30,000 SKUs, sourced from 300+ vendors. Using and maintaining SAP APO DP as your primary forecast tool, you'll develop a demand forecast for respective categories and customers at both detailed level and multiple aggregation levels. Key deliverables as Demand Planner include:

* Creating and maintaining statistical forecast models
* Analysing and evaluating historical sales trends
* Leading dialogue with key internal counterparts and customers to drive improved forecasting accuracy
* Providing input to the Supply Planning team and Category team

With accreditation in supply planning, CIPS or other similar discipline, such as effective expediting or inventory management, underpinned by knowledge of supply chain processes and systems, you have sound knowledge of inventory management and forecasting principles/logic. Comfortable working with and analysing large data sets, you'll need strong interpersonal and communication skills combined with commercial awareness and a real appreciation of market trends.

Proficient in MS Office, preferably with SAP APO knowledge, you can also offer experience of:

* Large volume SKU management within a distribution environment
* Working within a multi-site business environment
