The main focus of this role will be to carry out planned preventative, reactive and breakdown maintenance of site infrastructure and plant room equipment. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, your key responsibilities will include:-

• Execution of Planned Maintenance to schedule.
• Resolving breakdowns and fault finding on a variety of plant room and production equipment.
• Continual improvements to existing equipment, and the ordering and sourcing of spares required.
• Undertaking emergency breakdown repairs in a timely and efficient way on all production equipment.
• Periodic testing of fixed electrical installations and minor works modifications.
• Maintain spare parts and stock equipment in conjunction with the department supervisor.
• Identifying and contributing to the completion of continuous improvement projects.
• Identifying potential health, safety and environmental hazards/risks to the line management/responsible person upon discovery and where required taking appropriate action.
• Working on either a straight day or a rotating day/afternoon shift pattern basis from Monday to Friday 6-2/2-10 shift pattern with occasional rostered weekend or night shift working.
• Be willing to work an on-call rota for machinery breakdowns/faults to suit the needs of the business.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in maintenance areas.
• Ensuring all material usage is recorded and reported to prevent any out of stock situation.

To be considered for this position the following qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience are required:

• Electrical qualification achieved via recognised apprenticeship or relevant NVQ level 3 qualification.
• Qualified in 17th Edition IEEE regulations.
• Inspection, testing and certification of Electrical Installations level 3 qualification.
• Experience of maintaining building infrastructure and plant.
• Previous engineering maintenance experience within a highly regulated and/or high quality environment preferred.
• Ability to manage and prioritise your own workload.
• Demonstrate a commitment to quality.
• Have flexible attitude to work with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to follow complex work instructions and document completed work accurately.
• Ability to update machinery, equipment and maintenance logs in accordance with GMP standards.
• Computer literate.
• Able to operate within Safe Systems of Work and a permit to work process.
• If not already multi-skilled, willing to undertake additional training to perform a full multi-skilled maintenance role.
• IPAF and PASMA qualifications desirable.
