Reporting to the Group Reporting and Consolidation Manager, to complete the consolidation and analysis of the Group results for both statutory and regulatory reporting. In addition, there will be a focus on the following:

- To lead and assist in certain aspects of the production of high quality Group IFRS financial statements
- To lead and assist in certain aspects of the calculation of the Group’s regulatory capital position and preparation of reporting under Solvency II
- To contribute to the analysis of financial information and drafting of Executive commentaries on Group financial performance
- To play a key role in proactive management of the statutory and Solvency II audit processes to ensure that the audit ties into the production timetables, that key issues are identified in a timely manner and adequate time is allowed for the escalation and resolution of issues
- Support in the delivery of Group Finance projects in respect of corporate activity as necessary, such as the integration of acquired businesses

You will have:

- Strong technical accounting knowledge needed to actively engage in providing advice to senior business unit Accountants / Actuaries to assist in the timely resolution of Financial Reporting issues. Evidence of involvement in implementing new reporting standards / frameworks in a Group-wide context and advising senior management on financial reporting issues
- Strong financial reporting skills with demonstrable ability to apply understanding of reporting standards under IFRS and Solvency II. Good exposure and comprehension of a variety of financial products and broad understanding of the business issues facing financial services providers is desirable
- Experience of large-scale consolidations is essential and comprehension of financial IT systems and exposure to appropriate control frameworks is desirable. A detailed knowledge of the practical issues involved in the production of external financial reporting is also required
- Experience of / involvement in the project management of Group-wide initiatives. This may include the introduction of new systems or processes as a result of business re-engineering projects
