Role - Progress Chaser

The right candidates main duties is to ensure the smooth timely vehicle movements into and out of the site and to assist in increasing sales volumes & profitability via great stock turnover and cost control.

As a Progress Chaser you will also need to be well organised, displaying good time management and customer service skills, as well as being computer literate.

Progress Chaser Key Performance indicators:

• To reduce cost by ensuring the driving tasks are completed daily to achieve the objectives set.

Duties as Progress Chaser will include:

. Arranging and liaising with all departmental managers as regards to driving requirements in a timely and cost effective manner.
. To manage directive from Directors on driving duties and ensure vehicles are presented at the right time in the right place.
. Report any defects on vehicles.
. Collect and deliver vehicles from customers and other branches.
. Familiarise yourself with the controls and features in the vehicles in order that they may be explained to the drivers in a professional manner so that CEM returns are above national average scores for handovers.
. To set and maintain dress code to driving of all drivers to standards set.
. To log all demonstrator requests seeking authority from the manager to commit to overnight and extended test drives. To ensure the documentation and insurance process is completed and recorded correctly via DCM.
. To control all aspects of onward delivery from overtime to transportation liaising with the line managers for purchase order sign off.
. Understand all aspects of paperwork that needs to be signed by customer on handover before and after handover.
. Control the Check/Appraisal processes daily for vehicles for damage and scratches.
. New vehicle deliveries to be checked in (this task to be shared with other drivers/cleaners). Recording any defects as necessary.
. Manage other systems as required, car tracker etc.
. Undertake any reasonable task, which may be required by management from time to time.
. To liaise with Dent Master and Chips Away and the body-shops to ensure effective and efficient repairs to estimates given on vehicles.
. To carry out month stock checks to group accounting practice set,
. To control trade plate usage.
. Maintain delivery boards.
. To represent the best interests of the company.
