Estimation in the Building Services industry and its accuracy is becoming ever vital and important in a market place which is becoming increasingly competitive. So, has there ever been a time to further your career within an SME Electrical Contractor that is currently looking to establish its first ever stand-alone estimating function?

If you're from either an electrical trades or academic background in the Building Services industry and you already have daily involvement in electrical estimating, then this is an opportunity to further your career within a well-established and unique electrical contractor in Scotland, where the role is based from its head offices in the outskirts of Edinburgh.

Building on an existing and experienced operations team, this modern and diverse contractor, tender for a variety of commercial installation work across the Scottish construction market on projects directly for end-user clients in both the private and public sector and also traditional tier 1 fit-out contractors new-builds and refurbishment projects. You will be working on preparing and submitting the full electrical elements of tenders in varied role which includes high levels of client interaction, conducting large site surveys as well as working from the office in a traditional estimation role. The main-focus will be on commercial projects in sectors such as retail, education, healthcare and electrical fit-outs.

The successful candidate will utilise their electrical building services expertise to win electrical projects up to the value of £500k. A key aspect of this role will involve the negotiation and preparation of quotations for works in conjunction with support from the most senior members of the business.

Ideally, you're currently working as an electrical estimator or manager for an M&E Building Services contractor and are looking for a new challenge within a privately owned, smaller contractor who have exciting growth plans for their business over the next 5 years. This is very much an opportunity to be a key part of a settled and knowledgeable team where there is an extensive room to grow, develop and become a senior member of the business in a relatively short period of time.

In return, the successful applicant will be part of a business which greatly values its own people and will offer an annual salary between £35k-£42k per annum, with a company car/car allowance, contributory pension scheme, private healthcare package and discretionary annual bonus.
