Are you looking for a new Bid Management challenge? Our client, a leading construction company, has an exciting opportunity to join their team. The successful candidate will be working within their environmental division.

The role is office based in Warrington, Leeds or Derby.

Purpose of the role
Close interaction with technical specialists leading to the successful preparation and development of PQQs, tenders and bids and the promotion of the client within the market place. To do so will involve amongst other things:
• Understanding the business offerings of the client
• Using this understanding to contribute to the development of strategies to target and win work
• Communicating with operations, design, commercial and procurement specialists to produce winning bids
• Researching key clients to understand their priorities and possible sales points
• Researching target markets and competitors to advise on potential opportunities/improvements
• Assisting with the analysis of bid documentation to develop USP’s and messaging
• Attending bid go/no go and capacity planning meetings
• Leading and maintaining continuous improvement reviews on submitted PQQs and bids.
• Undertaking a range of specialist administrative responsibilities aimed at producing high quality proposals.
• Writing, editing and reviewing material for submissions within challenging timescales

Person specification
• Proven skills in producing and editing proposal content within a complex business environment
• Experienced in leading storyboarding sessions, participating in key review meetings / final document review, content sign off, and document production
• Experience of coordinating and updating a knowledge base system is beneficial
• Preferably experience within the following sectors: Environment Agency works and general civil engineering. Construction and Infrastructure
• Ability to identify, understand and interpret risk/opportunities contained within tender documents
• Ability to co-ordinate tender submission documents
• Basic knowledge of business operational issues.
• Very high standard of writing, copy editing and proofreading skills
• Ideally degree educated or journalistic / professional writing background
• Accredited to APMP Foundation or Practitioner Level
• Advanced MS Word skills & proficient in MS Office
