Technical Service Manager London Fit out

Up to £70,000 plus package

Our client is looking for an experienced and talented Technical Services Manager. A leading fit out contractor with a diverse portfolio of commercial interior projects in the city, they are looking to strengthen their team as they continue to grow and build on their current project portfolio. Projects are generally CAT A and CAT B, includes traditional and Design and Build contracts and are generally individually valued up to £5m.

You will be an effective communicator and have experience in working effectively with customers, consultants and the supply chain. Additionally, you will have an organised and methodical nature, be persistent and thorough, with proven experience in delivering resilient engineering services installations in line with defined project goals. Experience of end to end project management of resilient engineered projects is desirable. This is a very influential position, as the ideal candidate will take on a role as a mentor for the support staff.

Key Responsibilities

- Attend, meetings with the Client, the designers, specialist contractors and other team members.

- Review designers and contractor's drawings and technical submissions for completeness of information, compliance with contract requirements (specification, ER, etc), commercial advantage, builder works and potential clashes commenting as necessary.

- Check on-going installation for compliance with contract requirements (specification, drawings etc.) and progress against contract programme.

- Provide expertise in planning and executing the building services engineering commissioning.

- Responsible for the services engineering works on their projects in conjunction with the project team.

- Produce monthly Engineering Services Status Reports on the project

- Assist Quantity Surveyors with valuations and variations.

- Review design issues for MEP and assist in resolutions.

- Manage and witness commissioning of MEP, comment on commissioning and testing results ensuring they are compliant with British Standards and design.

- Represent the company at Pre-qualification, Pre-tender and Tender meetings and presentations.


- Recognised qualification in Building Services Engineering or other appropriate engineering subject.

- The candidate should hold or be working towards an appropriate grade of membership in a recognised engineering institution e.g. CIBSE, IEE, MIET etc.
