Are you passionate about enhancing peoples' lives by supporting their access to digital services?

We are looking for an exceptional Digital Inclusion Tutor to join our Community Investment team to help us implement and promote our Digital Inclusion Strategy.

As a key member of our team, you will be required to deliver basic digital skills training to learners and work closely with the Lead DI tutor to understand the needs of learners whilst developing an appropriate local digital inclusion service offer.

We'll look to you to establish a programme of DI workshops, drop-in & outreach sessions and open days around themes such as Universal Credit, internet safety, and using Mifi and tablets, as well as maintaining a central register of Individual Learning Plans, Learning Agreements, surveys and learner assessment records.

You should already have experience of teaching digital skills to individuals and small groups, and hold an ICT teaching qualification in a similar role. We would expect you to have a comprehensive understanding of the learning needs and barriers to learning of digitally excluded individuals. An understanding of how adults learn, and the ability to use a variety of teaching methods to support a diverse range of learners will be critical for your success in this role.

You'll use your excellent communication and facilitation skills every day and we would need you to be able to work with minimal supervision.

Your duties will include:

  • Maintaining Internet connectivity, and liaising with Internet Service providers as required.
  • Ensuring DI kit is maintained and that a regular and efficient back up regime is in place.
  • Liaison with DI Technical Support to ensure that all software and hardware is installed and updated regularly, configured and maintained to the required standards

Applicants must be able to regularly travel within the region

This post is subject to an Enhanced Criminal Record Check Clearance.

This is a fantastic opportunity to utilise your extensive skills and experience to really make a difference for people's lives.
