An opportunity has arisen for an Infrastructure Engineer (3rd Line Support) to join our client’s IT Team, located in its Corporate Office near Tower Bridge, on a permanent basis. This is an important role in which you will provide infrastructure support for the company Justice Network environment; and assist 3rd party support suppliers in order that Incidents, Service Requests and queries can be resolved with a view to minimising impact on all ICT services.

A typical day will include:

·         Maintaining and monitoring all network, security and computer systems to meet the organisation's current and future requirements.

·         Responsibility for management, maintenance and architecture of storage, virtualised environment, servers, network devices, and productivity tools.

·         Responsibility for management of Cloud Services including Azure IaaS and PaaS.

·         Assisting in the support of SQLServer databases.

·         Monitoring systems and identify performance issues proactively.

·         Working within strict time frames and elevate incidents within defined timeframes.

·         Testing all changes to networks, hardware, software, and hosted applications.

About you:

You must have the following experience and skills:

Solid technical background in a hosted services environment including infrastructure networks, hardware, software and telecommunications.

Solid technical background in Cloud Services – preferably Azure.

Technical background in supporting SQLServer databases.

Experience with incident ticketing systems, workstation management systems and desktop imaging. Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange 2010 and SQL Server.

Good knowledge of security as it relates to cloud based infrastructure.

Experience using automated monitoring tools.

Ability to gather relevant information too systematically to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Ability to work in a team environment.
