Our client, a specialist consultancy in the global events industry based in the Northern Quarter, is currently recruiting for an experienced Sales Executive to join their expanding business development team. Working in a highly self-managed capacity to undertake a 360 sales role, you will be given a database of warm leads to grow and develop, qualifying opportunities and mapping key contacts, managing accounts from proposal stage through to product delivery.

This is a varied and interesting role selling a range of forward-thinking consultancy services, training solutions, event management and sponsorship. Suitable candidates will be experienced sales professionals with a background ideally in events, media or advertising sales who are comfortable in a consultative and autonomous sales role with exceptional relationship-building skills.

Job Description

Working alongside the CEO and a team of Senior Account Managers / Consultants, the purpose of your role will be to proactively develop warm leads and qualify prospects, generating pipeline and opportunities, whilst assisting in managing the delivery of consultancy services and operational projects. Key duties will include:
• Generating sales through development of warm leads by undertaking outbound sales calls, emails, online networking and similar business development activities
• Managing own time effectively to ensure a steady pipeline of project opportunities in order to meet monthly and quarterly revenue targets
• Building effective relationships and managing accounts from proposal stage to delivery and maximising opportunities for repeat business and referrals
• Following up on prospects and scheduling call backs to maximise all potential enquiries
• Maintain a high level of awareness of current projects and seek opportunities to upsell and cross-sell within the product range

Person Specification

Suitable candidates will need to be influential, persuasive and confident relationship-builders with a track record of success in a similar B2B sales role. You should be capable of working independently to manage your own workload, demonstrating a high level of commercial awareness and initiative. Any previous experience of managing project teams or collaborating with delivery-focused colleagues would be an advantage but is not essential. You will also need to demonstrate:

• Confidence in building relationships with C-level decision makers
• Strong organisation and time management skills
• Passion, ambition and enthusiasm
• A driven and self-managed approach
• Flexibility and willingness to travel around the world

The company is offering a starting salary of £16,000 basic with a realistic first year OTE of £30-35K for a 16 to 25 hour working week (flexible around your requirements).
