Following a period of significant investment in the business from their private-equity owners, our client is looking for energetic and ambitious, telephone-based new business hunters to join the central London Sales team. You’ll be responsible for speaking with Security Risk Managers, Travel Risk Managers, HSE and HR Managers within companies with 1,000+ employees, to secure new subscriptions to two of their technology-based products.

They have invested around £1m to develop brand new, market-leading technology platforms for each of these products. The new platforms were launched at the recent Business Travel Show. They’ve also recruited a strong digital marketing team to drive inbound leads. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business, with a world-class team and leading-edge products.

Role: New Business Sales Executive


  • 3-4 years’ inside sales experience
  • Proven experience of delivering new business sales over the phone, meeting or exceeding targets
  • Self-starter and highly motivated
  • Excellent organisation and time management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience of selling applications or online platforms in a B2B environment
  • Self-starter and highly motivated
  • An interest in current affairs, business and geopolitics
  • Background selling travel risk management or security would be an advantage but is not essential


  • Develop a deep understanding and knowledge of the client value proposition
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process from cold call to close, including prospecting/generating leads
  • Meet daily, weekly, monthly KPIs - calls, pitches, demos, closed business
  • Create, build and manage your individual pipeline to meet revenue targets
  • Manage client through on-boarding of the product
  • Work closely with the Marketing team, including inputting to campaigns to generate leads and tracking performance to enable us to learn, refine and improve future campaigns
  • Accurate and timely record keeping (Salesforce)
  • Attend (a handful of) appropriate industry events and conferences


  • Salary £35-45k
  • Uncapped new business commission scheme (£20k OTE), with hurdles and ratchets linked to target:
  • New recruits given reduced target for 4 months - 20% Month 1, 40% Month 2, 60% Month 3, 80% Month 4
  • Total OTE = £55-65k
  • 25 days’ holiday, excluding bank holidays
