Job Title: Sponsorship Sales Manager

Salary: £40,000-£50,000 Basic. Uncapped OTE

Level: Management level

Place of work: Croydon, Surrey. 5 minute walk from train station.

Hours of Work: 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday

Job Role:

Providing engaging and educational content through quality platforms of events, magazines, conferences and training sit at the heart of this company. This is a great opportunity to be part of an energetic and highly driven sales team that continues to bring together the very best networking platforms and an engaged audience to a broad and successful event portfolio. The right candidate will enter a commercially focused role selling on high level sponsorship and partnership agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work within a team to continually meet and exceed revenue targets for Politics First magazine and its networking platforms (round tables, breakfast briefings, webinars, seminars and conferences)
  • Manage, develop and train existing and new sales staff
  • Implement new sales procedures/processes to help effective staff management
  • Assist in the recruitment of new sales staff
  • Identify key areas for improvement in the sales process
  • Meet weekly and monthly KPI’s as set by the CEO
  • Develop robust evaluation methodology and review techniques to monitor partnerships, quantify success and identify areas for improvement
  • Work with the Board and CEO to set commercial targets
  • Develop commercial relationships with partner prospects based on the business requirements
  • Communicating the complete business portfolio via telephone, email, social media and face to face
  • Continually looking to produce and implement new ideas based on market research and feedback. All of which with a commercial angle
  • Introduce prospects to new products they may not have considered based on their requirements in order maximise revenue
  • Nurture and maintain new business accounts in order to cross-sell the entire portfolio within the business

Skills and Experience Required:

  • 5 years B2B sales experience
  • A driven new business mentality
  • A hunger for networking and closing deals effectively
  • An enthusiasm for both print and face to face sales opportunities
  • Ability to work on multiple products across a diverse portfolio
  • Ability to identify new business contacts from various sources (social media, competitors etc)
  • A strong ability to motivate and help develop sales professionals
  • The will to want to meet and exceed targets on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Good people management
  • A personable personality

  • Knowledge of corporate and public sector, hierarchical structure and responsibilities
