ROLE TITLE: Branch Manager

REPORTS TO: Area Manager

Role Purpose

Managers are responsible for running all aspects of branch operations. Managers will maintain the company's reputation and ethos, whilst meeting company targets and ensuring the highest possible standards are maintained at all times.

The Manager will be responsible for a wide range of tasks throughout the branch including the maintenance of high quality food and exceptional standards of service and health and safety at all times.

The Manager will maximize profit whilst minimizing costs in their branch. Managers will ensure promotions are accurate and merchandised to the company's standards.

The Branch Manager must ensure that the branch operates efficiently.

Key Accountabilities

  • Taking responsibility for the performance of the branch
  • Managing and motivating the team to increase sales and ensure efficiency
  • Analysing and planning the shop sales levels and profitability
  • Creating and executing plans for sales
  • Managing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control
  • Purchasing, ordering of supplies and estimating food and beverage cost
  • Managing product levels, agreeing timeframes and ensuring implementation in line with visual merchandising guideline
  • Preparing reports on daily or weekly basis including staff control, food cost and sales
  • Controlling wastage and expenditures
  • Preparing cash drawers and change as required
  • Supervising portion and quality control
  • Taking care of the daily business reviews
  • Making sure that the daily, nightly and weekend deposits are taken care of
  • Delivering marketing activities, such as promotional events and discount scheme
  • Coordinating the entire operation of the branch including the kitchen team
  • Taking responsibility for meeting departmental productivity and quality goals
  • Maintaining shop assets
  • Combining strategic planning, shift pattern organisation and day-to-day management activities

Customer service

  • Ensuring the highest standards of quality and service at all times
  • Ensuring that all employees adhere to the company's uniform standards
  • Meeting and greeting customers
  • Investigating any customer complaints and/or comments
  • Having a presence on the sales floor throughout the day especially at peak times to identify or solve issues
  • Ensuring speedy service with a friendly attitude and managing queues effectively
  • Making sure that customers are served properly, fairly and in a timely manner

Food Safety / Health and Safety / Security

  • Ensuring all food safety procedures are completed and reporting any potential hazards immediately as well as taking any necessary action
  • Complying with all health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Enforcing sanitary practices for food handling and general cleanliness
  • Enforcing maintenance of kitchen, unit and customer areas
  • Managing stock loss by ensuring all company security policies and procedures are implemented and followed
  • Identifying branch security issues and taking appropriate action to implement solutions where necessary
  • Ensuring shop security is maintained and taking necessary preventative measures, for example, ensuring that CCTV is working correctly
