Head of Finance - Global Insurer - circa £90,000 plus benefits
Head of Finance opportunity within a global multi-faceted insurance business.
The role will report directly to a global head and will take responsibility for overseeing a specific subsidiary P&L and income statements, strategic planning and control activities, expense budget.
Main accountabilities will include:
Support the global head in all finance related activities and in particular in the strategic planning and control function
Provide financial validation of the quarterly and annual income and P&L statements
Coordinate and validate all management reporting information for Head Office, including but not limited to quarterly business reviews, expenses surveys and specific projects, liaising with each corresponding internal stakeholder as appropriate
Establish and maintain a suitable methodology and internal model for the groups quarterly forecast, annual and 3yr rolling business plan, engaging all internal stakeholders as required
Establish and maintain a suitable methodology and internal model for the group's expenses & investment budget
Liaise with HO Risk Management for all required risk based financial indicators, capital and solvency calculations
Manage group monthly expense report and monitor compliance with annual pro-rata expenses budget
Act as the primary contact at group with the UK business Finance, Accounting and Treasury functions
Act as the primary contact with head office for all finance related matters
Be responsible for all credit control and premium allocation activities pertaining to the group's portfolio, ensuring consistency between booked premiums and claims and corresponding treasury position
Provide coordination and overseeing of global business financial activities, in close cooperation
With global CFO
Establish a small team of high performing finance professionals for group HO in London, with working dependencies in overseas.
The successful individual will be a qualified accountant with at least 10 years PQE (gained within the insurance industry), leading and developing senior finance functions, must have working knowledge of IFRS, GAAP standards, Solvency I, II principles.
