They are looking for energetic and ambitious, telephone-based new business hunters and team leaders to join the central London Sales team. Reporting to the Head of Sales, you’ll be assigned a designated territory and be responsible for speaking with the senior leadership team, librarians and teachers within educational institutions across the world to secure new subscriptions. You’ll also be assigned 4 team members to manage. Role: Senior New Business Team Leader


  • 5+ years’ inside sales experience, with track-record of delivering new business sales over the phone, meeting or exceeding targets
  • 1+ years’ experience of managing a (small) team whilst continuing to deliver personal revenue target
  • Currently a selling manager - leading by example
  • Motivator, with a flexible management style
  • Pro-active, can-do attitude
  • Emotional intelligence and strong listening skills
  • Excellent organisation and time management
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Understanding of CRM tools - ideally Salesforce
  • Experience in selling to education (nice but not essential)
  • Nice to have - theatre/arts interest/education
  • Reports to Head of Sales



  • Meet and exceed revenue target
  • Manage end-to-end sales process from cold call to close, including prospecting/generating leads
  • Setting up clients on the back-end
  • Meet daily, weekly, monthly KPIs
  • Accurate reporting of sales pipelines


  • Drive your team to meet and exceed revenue target
  • Coach and guide your team:

o Structure their day

o Hit activity targets

o Improve sales process

o Close business

  • Recruit for staff (growth and/or replacements)
  • Accurate daily, weekly and monthly reporting of team pipeline and activity
  • Manage underperformance


  • Initially managing 4 people but with the intention that this increases to 8 within 6-12 months, at which time you will no longer have a personal sales target (just a team target)


  • Salary £40-55k, depending on experience
  • £25k on-target commission (uncapped) based on a mixture of personal and team targets
  • Reduced target for 3 months - 25% Month 1, 50% Month 2, 75% Month 3
  • Total OTE = £65-80k
  • 25 days’ holiday, excluding bank holidays
