We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Technician to join our client on a full time permanent basis

The successful candidate will work as part of the IT Department to support the company's infrastructure and provide IT support to all internal customers.

The ideal candidate will be technically confident at providing hardware and software support, possessing good communication, time management and organisational skills, with a ‘Can do’ approach, determination to succeed and see problems through to a solution.

Role details
• To take responsibility for installation, configuration and maintenance of IT related hardware across all business sites (some travel required) in line with SLAs
• To take responsibility for implementing software configuration changes
• To work on the IT helpdesk as part of a weekly rota and ensure all jobs are logged and communicated to the end user
• Liaise with 3rd Party suppliers to ensure repair of Hardware meets customer expectations
• Support and Installation of the telephone system, mobile phones and devices
• To assist the Engineers with the maintenance of hardware, software and network systems
• To set up computer resources at required locations and times
• To ensure efficient and safe working of all relevant resources
• To ensure that all documentation is maintained in accordance the company’s financial and administration systems
• To take ownership of allocated IT incidents and progress them to a satisfactory conclusion, keeping customers regularly informed of progress
• Operational security, maintenance, asset tagging and disposal of IT hardware resources
• To assist staff in the use of equipment and software
• Look to continuously improve the IT delivery service

Essential Requirements for the role

• Recent office experience demonstrating computer and keyboard skills
• Win 7/Win8 Desktop support experience
• Mobile device support experience (phones, tablets, laptops)
• Experience of Lan/Wan Network technologies
• Active Directory/ Group Policies administration experience
• Experience of Site-Wide Anti-virus solutions
• Previous experience of IT Helpdesk support
• G.C.S.E. in English and Maths at Grade C or equivalent
• IT qualification (e.g. MCP)
