Position: Chemists` Community Fund Development Specialist 
Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire 
Contract type: Full Time, Fixed Term Contract 2 years 
Hours: 35 hours per week 
Salary: £26,623-£31,803 (full time salary per annum plus benefits)

About the Role: 

The Royal Society of Chemistry offers specialist advice, guidance and financial support to individuals through our Chemists` Community Fund (CCF), aimed at addressing poverty issues for our members and their dependents. Beyond this, the CCF has scope to utilise its benevolent funds for appropriate alternative charitable needs. This role, as Chemists` Community Fund Development Specialist, provides a unique opportunity to drive a stepwise change in our activities to ensure we are continuing to meet the needs of our community. 

You will manage activities to significantly raise awareness of the CCF and will develop relevant support services to beneficiaries within the Fund`s core charitable objectives of preventing and relieving poverty. You will work with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, developing productive relationships, securing and processing relevant information and ultimately securing outputs to influence necessary change. 

This is a two-year fixed term role which offers variety, and where you will have the opportunity to truly make a difference, as by the end of this term, we will want to have developed (or be suitably developing) our prevention of poverty aim as far as possible. 

About You: 

You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent relevant experience) with the ability to carry out investigative research and development methodologies. You will be an articulate communicator with experience in a customer focused environment. 

You will have the ability to exert effective influence and form productive relationships with internal colleagues and external contacts and relate to people at all levels. Experience of capturing and evaluating information, and devising relevant solutions is essential to this role along with the ability to work independently. Specialist knowledge in the charity sector is desirable for this role.
