A market leading electronic manufacturing company, based in St Neots, is looking to take on a permanent Test Technician to join their expanding team. The Test Technician will be experienced in testing products that are used in the broadcasting industry with RF diagnostics.

The successful candidate will:

* Be competent in setting up and using oscilloscopes, DVMs and spectrum analysers for testing & fault finding electronic assemblies and computer driven test systems.
* Be able to work from schematic diagrams to undertake fault finding tasks with electronic circuits.
* Set up test equipment and test jigs both for in-circuit and full functional testing of PCBAs and complete products.
* Test PCBAs and complete electronic products following test procedures, recording test results as directed, as well as keeping records of test times and recording any fault data in a database.
* Only pass assemblies that meet the test specification with all readings falling within test limits, while ensuring all test work is carried out to the production schedule to enable production deadlines to be met.
* Investigate and fault find faulty electronic printed circuit assemblies or complete electronic based products using schematic diagrams and the full range of test equipment available leading to their repair.

The Test Technician will inform management of any problems that may arise with products under test and that may cause delay. Also, they will suggest improvements in the testing of items, which will lead to quicker testing processes and achieving production test times, while seeking assistance when required to help solve test related problems.

The candidate will be educated to minimum HNC or HND Electronics or similar, and will use commercial awareness in relation to the products being tested and repaired, balancing the value of the item against the time required to repair or test it.

The hours are: Monday to Thursday 7.30 till 4.00pm with 30 minute lunch break and Friday 7.30 till 1.30
