The Company:

Our client’s business has been established for over 40 years and is a leading competitor in its industry. They sell new and used commercial vehicles from all six of their depots across the UK; they also offer other services such as servicing and breakdown cover. They are experiencing growth year on year and require loyal, hard-working staff to ensure their growth continues, and in return they will offer job security and plenty of overtime to boost your income!

The Role:

Our client is looking for an experienced Class 1 or 2 Driver to join their expanding work-force; you will be delivering and collecting commercial vehicles throughout the UK but predominantly within a 100 miles radius of Kent. You will either be followed through by a colleague to take you back to the depot after delivery or there will be a vehicle waiting for you to bring yourself back; on occasions you will also use public transport or taxis as well.

As a proactive member of the dealership’s team you will be required to contribute towards an efficient operation, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times. As you will be meeting with customers face to face it is essential that you can communicate in a courteous and professional manner at all levels and have a clean and smart appearance.

Main Duties:

  • Collection and delivery of customers’ vehicles before or after servicing
  • Delivery of newly purchased vehicles
  • Vehicles will range from 3.5 tonne to 40 tonne
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Essential Requirements:

  • A Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) licence
  • Full CPC and an up to date DIGI tachograph card

Additional Information:

Salary: £18,300.00 per annum for 45 hours work - paid monthly and is at a set hourly rate of £7.82 per hour

Overtime: Hours worked over 45 will be at an overtime rate of £11.73 per hour (time and half) and the average number of overtime hours worked each week is around 7, making the average salary £22,568.52

(Some drivers are doing 15 hours which would boost your earnings even further to around £27,500.00

Holiday entitlement: 20 days + statutory Bank Holidays, rising to 25 days with length if service.
