Supervising Social Worker

Location: Maidstone, Kent

Salary: £23,420.53 - £30,618.60 per annum dependent on experience

Full time, Permanent role

Our client, a national independent fostering agency, require an experienced full time Supervising Social Worker to work from their Maidstone office in Kent.

The successful candidate will be part of a small team whose aim is to recruit, train and supervise foster carers to support the children and young people placed with them across the region.

Requirements for the Supervising Social Worker:

  • Experience in completing Form Fs is an advantage
  • You should be able to evidence strong analytical and assessment skills
  • You will also need to be able to support and supervise foster carers and engage children and young people.
  • You should have effective communication skills
  • Must be organised and able to deliver to deadlines
  • The ability to work flexibly as part of a team and have good recording and IT skills is also essential.
  • A social work qualification is essential for this post
  • Must be registered to the HCPC
  • Experience of fostering services or knowledge of the looked after system would be an advantage

Our client run an out of hour’s service and the successful candidate will be required to take part in the rota.

Foster carers are situated throughout Kent with some based further afield in Hampshire and Surrey. Applicants will be expected to travel as part of their role and occasionally may be asked to travel to a carer in Devon.

The salary scale for this post is £23,420.53 - £30,618.60 per annum dependent on experience.
