Our client has an exciting opportunity to join their innovative and busy catering team. We are looking for a dedicated professional with experience working in high volume catering. Working week will be 5 days out of 7 as per rota (Full- time)
Working within a local Independent school this busy catering team provide over 1000 meals a day.
Main duties will be to:
Assist the head chef in leading a team and take charge in there absence
Must work well within a team but be able to use own initiative
Adhere to health & safety and food hygiene regulations
Provide quality and diverse food for the school
Manage your time/Prioritise/Meet deadlines
Proven experience at Sous Chef level
Passionate individual who relishes developing their team
A self-starter with a strong team ethic
Excellent leadership skills
Ideally City & Guilds 7061 & 7062 or NVQ level 2 and above in professional cookery
Meals on duty
20 days holiday + bank hols
Suitable applicants may have worked within large industrial catering operations or high volume quality dining and should be flexible to work outside of contracted hours on occasion for things such as functions and must work well within a team.
Applicants must be able to provide a checkable work history and be willing to have an Enhanced DBS check (CRB).
