Job Title: Lead Systems Engineer

Location: Basildon

Salary: £60,000+

Skills: Highly experienced at systems engineering, domain knowledge in at least 2 of the following technologies - Surveillance Radar, Electro-optics (CCTV and thermal Imaging), Command and Control System Software, ICT and Networked systems


The Lead Systems Engineer will be engaged within the Homeland Security and Critical Infrastructure Protection domain of the company, with a focus on large scale strategic integrated Security Surveillance and Control Systems including Electro-Optic and Radar Sensors and Command and Control software. They are currently running major programmes to provide civil site and area protection solutions at national scale and protecting critical infrastructure assets worth billions.

The Lead Systems Engineer will be responsible for the development of effective solutions to customer requirements. Working closely with customers and directing the engineering team they will grip the solution end to end to ensure that their delivery is compliant with user needs, aligned with the company strategy and delivers the high quality, highly capable and effective solutions for which they are known.

The successful candidate must have proven and extensive experience in all aspects of the Systems Engineering lifecycle of a solution which includes requirements capture, design, analysis/modelling, integration, test and acceptance. The candidate will work within the companies engineering delivery model which provides a controlled and supportive framework for the achievement of excellence in system design.
