Field Service Plant Engineer

Clemence Rogers are currently working in partnership with our client in the recruiting of a Plant Engineer to be based in Ireland, but in a field role.

Would be working to the objective of becoming the most successful independent Plant Dealer in Northern Ireland. The client has carefully selected franchises, and product lines of each, that we believe gives us the advantage of offering the greatest portfolio of products within the region.

As part of this objective we now require an additional Field Plant Engineer.

Job role: The field based engineer is responsible for delivering, maintenance and breakdown response to a designated area. Plays a key role in making sure we deliver a first class service to our customers, making sure machines are fixed on time, first time, right. Also making sure we deliver an effective service within the guidelines of health & safety.

Qualifications

* City & Guilds or equivalent

* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent

* Apprentice trained

* Proven experience on construction equipment

* Electrical knowledge/proven experience

Skills and knowledge:

* Clear understanding of mechanical/hydraulic/electrical systems

* Technical ability - strong electrical fault finding abilities

* Effective communicator

* Be logical in approach to diagnostic tasks.

* Honest, reliable, trustworthy, good time keeper.

* Confident in using software to integrate with machine

Experience:

* Minimum 5 years within construction plant industry

* Apprentice trained

* Proven track record in mechanical/electrical/hydraulic repairs

* Technical knowledge

* Full clean driving license

The successful candidate will be supported through a full induction and manufacturers training to the highest level therefore it is essential applicants are aware this position will require periodic travel, along with a strict training plan including performance assessment, review and development.

8am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday. Pay between £11 and £13 per hour.
