Overall Purpose of Role:

• Deal with Monthly payroll for 1500 minimum.

• Deal with SSP, SMP, P45’s, P6 and all HMRC forms.

• To process payroll ensuring that all data is accurate and input in a timely manner. • P11d knowledge is a must, due to complex reporting and the nature of the business.

• Maintain relationships with HR contacts at different locations within the business.

• Be aware of expected standards of quality and timeliness of data submitted to the payroll office.

• Ensure that all data is verified prior to final submission of payrolls

• Maintain an up to date knowledge of relevant legislation.

• Complete a monthly payroll control sheet reconciliation.

• Send payslips by payday.

• Ensure electronic filing is completed after each pay run into employee’s personal files.

• Respond to information requests from non-statutory bodies in a timely manner. • Test payroll software updates.

• Ensure that court order payments are paid within the correct pay run.

• Ensure other third party payments, i.e. Pension contributions and monthly upload is completed.

• Provide ad-hoc reports, i.e. costing report and journal for management accounts as and when requested.

• Resolve payroll queries.

• Ensure the security of data on the system and be aware of data protection act.

• Regular feedback sessions regarding problems or queries.
