Do you want to work for a international engineering firm? Our client have modern facilities and a close knit team. They are now looking to recruit a Toolmaker to join the team

The role
The role is to design tooling and maintaining current tooling

Job Requirements
- be able to read engineering drawings
- Support tool trials to develop new technologies.
- Responsible to manage the Toolroom and develop production staff and tool maintenance practices to support uninterrupted zero defect manufacturing.
- To approve the sourcing of new tools and other tooling consumables (die, punch & stripper plates) within established budgets
- Develop Personnel and procedures to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- Assist sales in the review of customer drawings to ensure they are technically feasible and offer advice on process improvment.
- Online maintenance of tooling database to enable intercompany staff to process orders.
- Working knowledge of engineered alloys particularly metals used in high stress applications.
- Conversant in the use of general workshop machinery (Milling, Turning, Surface grinding).
- Manager tool room holiday rota to ensure production coverage is uninterrupted.

The location
The firm is situated near to the M62 and is quickly accessible directly from the motorway.

Job details
The role is on days: Mon-Fri (8am to 4.30pm) the position is salaried at around £27000 to £30000.
