Nigel Wright Group are delighted to be recruiting for a growing business in Hartlepool who are keen to recruit an experienced Credit Controller to join a small finance team. Supporting the Group Financial Controller and Office Manager you will deliver finance and accounting related requirements.
You will be primarily responsible for sales ledger maintenance with assistance to the purchase ledger and other accounting/financial duties of the department. Given the variety of the position, you will liaise with various parties, such as Directors, Suppliers and Customers.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Minimising overdue, non-payments and the risk of bad debts so that the business cash flow performance is maximised.
- Managing the collection and processing of customer payments so that open balances are accurate and up to date.
- Reporting of monthly debtor and payment terms information in a timely and accurate manner.
- Being responsible for the monthly reconciliation of the debtor ledger.
- Raising sales invoices.
- Completing CIS reports.
As the ideal candidate, you will be a team player with a solid background within finance and predominantly within credit control and sales ledger. You will also be supporting with the accounts payable department. You will be a strong communicator and able to build and maintain relationships.
Advanced Excel skills will benefit an individual in this role so ideally pivot tables and look ups would be beneficial in this role.
