Graduate Teaching Assistant Specification
To be considered for this role you must be an driven graduate who has experience working with children and have achieved a 2:2 or better in your degree. The school need a graduate who is able to act as a role model for their students and inspire them with your enthusiasm. We want to meet a graduate who is keen to get involved in after school clubs and has a positive mental attitude. The school want to meet applicants who have the ability to pass on their subject knowledge to others and are interested in taking on additional responsibility.

About the Graduate Teaching Assistant Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, your role will involve you working specifically within a Year 2class, supporting the class teacher and learning good teaching practices. Your responsibilities will include preparing lesson materials, working on a 1:1 basis with children and leading small groups of learners. Day-to-day you will work in partnership with the class teacher to ensure that learning objectives and goals are met daily and that your learners are achieving to their full potential. Once you are settled in the role you will be offered the chance to plan and lead your own extra-curricular activity in an area you think the pupils will enjoy.
