-Excellent opportunity for a dynamic, highly experienced IT Infrastructure Manager, with a strong track record managing IT Support and IT Engineering teams.

-The experienced candidate with ideally have experience managing Infrastructure and Security teams for a large, multi-site end user.

-The business are a corporate, international outfit so experience managing teams at large businesses will certainly beneficial.



Role/ Responsibilities

Lead a global team of engineers and support staff

Take responsibility for projects and assignments related to the technical specialism, as the leader of a functional team

To ensure that deployed technology is always appropriate to meet the current and planned future needs of the Business. Drive continuous improvement introducing new practices or services as justified

Ensure all platforms and systems meet capacity and performance requirements

Contribute to the design and implementation of IT infrastructure including Storage, Backup, Virtualisation and Windows Infrastructure

Contribute to the architectural design and decision making in relation to the infrastructure estate

Maintain platforms infrastructure roadmaps and provide input into IT strategy

Manage the multi-location , virtual, IT help desk providing services to the Group with appropriate service levels, reports and communication

Providing timely and accurate communications on systems issues and maintenance, including communicating within IT and with business departments to ensure that knowledge is shared

Keep up to date with new technologies and provide business cases to trial or introduce such technologies




Managing IT infrastructure and security within a multi-site environment preferably International

Built and managed motivated teams from different cultural backgrounds 

Worked with business departments to implement changing needs

Providing technical support, training and user guides

Experience providing architectural direction for multiple projects including cloud technologies

Excellent communicator and able to influence at all levels

Experience of leading a geographically dispersed team of highly skilled engineers

Experience of building relationships across different cultures and levels within an organisation

Experience of managing 3rd Party vendors and service levels

Drive change in a busy environment whilst maintaining business continuity

Expert knowledge of Storage, Backup, and Virtualisation technologies, architecture, maintenance and troubleshooting complex issues

Experience of the below is desirable:

Microsoft products including Windows server, SQL Server, Exchange, Office , Dynamics AX
Riverbed WAN optimisation
Citrix remote access
Server room environment
ERP, 3D CAD and PLM systems
International comms
Fixed line phone systems
Video conferencing systems
