Our client based in Gloucestershire are seeking a Production Support Engineer and are offering a salary of £32,618pa. The role is commutable from Cheltenham, Gloucester, Tewkesbury, Stonehouse and Worcester.

Key Responsibilities:

* To act as a technical focal point with regards to non-compliance ensuring they are dealt with efficiently and accurately plus timely closure and robust containment & corrective actions are in place.
* To include technical input into but not limited to; quality escapes, customer returns, quality improvement actions, NCRs, PNCRs, WPs, QCPs, 8ds, etc.
* To lead the development of tooling requirements in accordance with regulatory requirements, including design, maintenance, reliability & repeat-ability in accordance with business procedures.
* To lead the lean sigma initiatives in a facilitating / support capacity .
* Delivery of the technical training and support within the value stream including the technical review outputs associated to SBs, ADs, Process specs and / or CMM updates.
* To liaise with Value Stream engineering in the progression of new repairs, concessions
* Audit responsibility in all guises (ie) sub contract suppliers, internal WP & QCP compliance, product, customers, internal group audits.
* Maintenance and development of capability (product and process).
* General project management but primarily focused on improvement activity and removing waste
* Apprentice mentoring.
* Cover for Laboratory checks, tests and process conformance and where required carrying out specific hands on tasks if business needs dictate.
* Co ordination of activity with other projects Green belts within the group.
