Associate Lecturer in AAT

£22,610 - £32,668 per annum pro rata

18.5 hours per week

We are seeking an experienced professional to join a growing department delivering AAT qualifications at a range of levels up to Level 4, but predominantly at Level 3. You will be a part of the supportive Accountancy team in Business First, the commercial arm of Swindon College, delivering daytime and evening courses for Apprentices and part time students.

Key roles include:

  • Delivering high quality teaching and learning and guiding and supporting students
  • Providing appropriate assignment material for each programme
  • Supporting robust internal quality assurance for the department
  • Contribute to and effect change in driving improvements in the curriculum for 2017 onwards.

In this role you will demonstrate innovative teaching methods and excellent communication skills. Your ability to motivate learners to succeed will also be shown. You will need excellent attention to detail as you will be responsible for writing reports and documents for the course along with the marking of assignments and coursework. Decision on days/evenings worked will be by agreement with candidate.

Qualifications Required

  • Teaching qualification at Level 5 e.g. Certificate in Education, or commitment to gaining if you do not hold one.
  • Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent) or commitment to gaining with 24 months of commencement of employment.
  • Level 4 AAT qualification.
