Support Facilitator

Part Time Hourly Paid

£16.43 per hour plus £2.46 per hour holiday pay (gross)

The College has an extensive system of Learning Support that operates across the whole College. There is a policy of inclusion and no discrete courses for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities; all students follow mainstream courses.

As a Part Time Hourly Paid Support Facilitator you will be part of the ALS team and will work primarily in the Learning Hub providing small group/workshop support. This will include: primarily small groups/workshop delivery; identifying how best to meet students' needs out of the classroom; and monitoring/reviewing students' progress and achievements (to support the Education Health and Care Plans and Individual Study Programmes). In addition this may also include work within the Curriculum Centre/s delivering support to students by a team teaching in class or out of class sessions

You must possess a PGCE, or other recognised teaching qualification as well as a relevant qualification at level 4 or above. You will also have experience of teaching and assessing students with learning difficulties/ disabilities. You must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the and Sound organisational and administrative skills.
