The Client

Our client is a well established SME working on behalf of speculative developers taking on their infrastructure package, specialising in roads and drainage/sewage systems. They Turned over £7 Million last year and require an Operations Manager to spearhead the operations team and be part of their exciting development.

They are open to look at Senior Engineers ready for a step up into management, however will also entertain Project/Contract Managers with a proven track record on similar projects.

Responsibilities

* Forward planning for all sites
* Setting up H&S site files for new sites and new operations
* Engineering problem solving
* Applying for traffic management and section 50 licenses
* Procurement and organising traffic management
* Applying for sewer connection licenses
* Procuring temporary works designs when required
* Procuring CBR tests and results
* Analysing and agreeing specifications from CBR results
* Employee training records including organising initial training and updates via refresher courses
* Communicating information between site and office e.g. to QSs, estimators, accounts etc.
* Remedial lists and action plans for completing
* Keeping operation meeting programming charts up to date
* Requesting and ensuring we have information on time to prevent delays on site

Requirements

* Engineering background
* CSCS card
* SMSTS
* First aid
* Flexibility to get to site when needed
