A leading provider of a wide range of specialist mental health services is seeking a HR Business Partner to join their organisation. With a Head Office situated in Newcastle upon Tyne, but operating nationally, this organisation provides a range of mental health services and employee wellbeing programmes.


Reporting to the Director of HR and OD, you will have responsibility for all HR activity within dedicated service areas; working closely with managers, providing advice and guidance to ensure excellent people practices are applied whilst driving employee engagement and people capability throughout the Group.

This is an absolutely key appointment within the business and will see the successful applicant take up a vital post within the organisation. There is wide scope for development within the role, with both moral and professional reward. Key responsibilities include:

- Providing proactive support to management teams on HR issues such as; employee relations, reward, performance, organisational development/change, leadership, learning and development and health & wellbeing.
- Supporting managers with recruitment and resourcing, ensuring delivery of the Group`s overall workforce plan.
- Ensuring that effective establishment monitoring systems are in place, allowing resourcing decisions to be based on sound forecasting information.
- Ensuring the organisational values are at the forefront of all HR practices, thereby driving positive employee behavior.
- Monitoring and analysing HR performance information and recommending the necessary HR solutions/intervention to address issues identified.
- Developing organisational capability, specifically upskilling managers through provision of relevant training and coaching people on management issues.
- Influencing and facilitating change within the service area.
- Working closely with the Director of HR and OD in the development of HR strategy, policy and practices
- Providing project management support and HR expertise to local projects.
- Ensuring effective consultation and employee engagement in relation to workforce developments/changes.


To present as an ideal applicant for the role, you will have a depth of experience in a similar position (HR Advisor, Senior HR Assistant) and be able to demonstrate a passion for HR and delivering innovative people-solutions.

You should possess all of the following attributes, in addition to a genuine and passionate approach to the role:

- Full CIPD membership
- Experience in change management and providing HR advice to managers is essential
- Involvement in HR projects would prove highly beneficial
- Flexible and creative approach to HR
- Proactive and innovative solution-based direction
- Highly self-motivated, with the ability to make decisions and use own initiative
- Confidence and credibility to build relationships with key stakeholders and managers
- Commitment to working in accordance with organisational values
- Willingness to take responsibility for professional development


This position offers a competitive salary between the range of £27,000 to £34,000 per annum.
