Lead SDET/ Software Developer in Test / Python SDET / London

We have a new opportunity for a lead Software Developer in Test. Are you looking to join a vibrant start up and help develop a QA team using the latest technologies? We're working with a company who are set to create the largest and most transparent marketplace for ground transportation.

As a start-up, the company have a vibrant feel and offer a culture of both collaborative and autonomous working, offering a real opportunity for personal growth in a team striving for production quality. You'll be brought in to lead the QA team as well as educate developers through critical analysis, exploratory testing, functional and non-functional testing.

Initially, the role will involve supporting the development team as they reorganise the back-end applications to microservice. You'll also be involved in bringing another junior member on board to join the team and reporting progress to the head of QA.

Aside from technical skill set, it's important that you can effectively support a team and can demonstrate stakeholder experience - so excellent written and verbal communication skills are key.

Ultimately, they're looking for someone who is adaptable, confident and can have a laugh (whilst maintaining a strong work ethic!!)

When it comes to experience and core skill set, the following is pretty crucial;

Experienced in GoLang / Python / Ruby

Understands how to test gRPC / API's
*

Has worked within micro-service architecture
*

Lead experience of a small team (2-3 engineers)
*

Experienced with BDD test automation frameworks to support backend platforms

For the right person, we are looking to discuss a competitive salary rate ranging from £65-85K (plus benefits)
