The role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our business within a dual faceted role, allowing you to leverage your editorial and proofreading skills whilst also incorporating your creative multimedia production experience.

As Operations Editor/Multimedia Production Specialist you will be responsible for processing, proofing and distributing copy to International and domestic circuits via wire, PR Newswire for Journalist web service, Internet, fax and email, whilst ensuring a timely and accurate transmission. The role will also include the production of Multimedia News Releases (MNRs) using your extensive knowledge of converting raw images and layouts into CSS/XHTML themes in line with client data and project requirements.

In addition, you will:

  • Provide consultative services - providing advice to clients on available and appropriate circuits, format and look of their MNR
  • Utilise web authoring tools and applications such as Desk Cleaner and Avid to encode and host video files and add social media links to MNR
  • Quality check all orders and distributions to guarantee a high standard of service delivery.
  • Liaise with affiliates to ensure accurate and expedient transmission
  • Provide clients with an excellent service that exceeds their expectations and is line with corporate strategy
  • Focus on quality standards and timelines to achieve team targets and objectives
  • Work closely with members of Client Services team to develop web pages with clear project deliverables and times to ensure completion of project.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Previous experience in an editorial/proof-reading role
  • Relevant experience with HTML/XHTML, CSS, Javascript, XML and demonstrable knowledge of further web standards
  • Experience using FTP programmes and troubleshooting FTP environments
  • Experience with web authoring tools and Adobe creativity suite (such as Photoshop)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability interact with stakeholder of varying levels and clients
  • Have the energy and drive to work under pressure to hit tight targets
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple project/tasks to a high level of detail

Please note this role will begin with a normal day shift during training and then move to a rotated shift pattern with some weekend work required.
